On Friday, November 13, the Smithtown West Thespian Troupe held its first “Best of Broadway Musical Revue.” Directed by teacher and Thespian advisor Mr. Brannigan, the show featured numbers from popular broadway shows including Pippin, Chicago, The Addams Family, and more.
Popular performances included the provocative “Cell Block Tango,” starring Amanda Blum, Kassahel Augustin, ToniAnn Ruggiero, Sklovel Augustin, Brittany Schneider, and Gabriella Carucci, as well as the lighthearted “Disney Princess Medley” performed by Jaclyn Kolsch and Julie Stewart. Seniors Amanda Sanger and Gabriella Carucci–president and vice president of the Thespian Honor Society–also performed phenomenal solos. Clearly, there were acts for every type of theater-goer. “The Best of Broadway production turned out to be an amazing experience I’ll never forget,” graduating senior Amanda Blum states.
