Leah Remini Reveals Scientology

The religion of Scientology has become a controversial topic among the public due to its recent exposure by surrounding rumors and media coverage. As a result, people are beginning to question its methods and whether or not the morals of the religion are substantially sound.

Actress, Leah Remini, has come out with a new show, “Scientology and the Aftermath,” in which she reveals the dark side of this ‘cult’ and how it truly operates. Remini invites a group of ex-church members to share their personal experiences and memories from the religious community. A number of them agreed to share their stories through her televised documentary.

Remini expresses that her purpose for this project is to bring attention to the reality of Scientology. Nothing like the peaceful world that is shown in advertisements, she believes it is only right to stop anyone else from joining. She argues that the church has broken up families, physically abused individuals, and mentally mistreated members.

Leah exposed the Church’s alleged thievery by discussing their process of charging members with excessively high prices to advance ‘levels.’ This entails paying for books, classes, and courses to fulfill the requirements and achieve a higher ranking. According to Leah, these levels could also change at any given moment; if you ultimately reach the last course before completion, the Church could potentially include five additional courses simply to earn a profit.

Each ex-member testified that they completely trusted and believed in the church. Initially, they supported and obeyed the way it was structured and had never found anything wrong with it. They believed it offered a safe environment, a feeling of unity, and provided its members with job support.

The Church of Scientology wrote letters to Leah Remini’s program, accusing the validity of these first-hand accounts. The letters focus on testing the credibility of whomever spoke out against the Church, yet, they fail to explain what made Remini’s accusations false. This vague battle that the church put up against Remini this has brought people to believe that the stories provided by Leah’s documentary are true.
