The candidates for the next presidency are pretty horrible to say the least. On the Republican side they only seem to care about bashing each other with harsh comments mostly directed at Trump, who has no problem responding. On the other side of the spectrum we have Hillary Clinton who has been investigated by the FBI which isn’t exactly a presidential requirement.
The fact that Donald Trump is in the lead is depressing. Here are just a few examples of statements that he has made:
“The U.S. cannot allow EBOLA infected people back. People that go too far away places to help out are great-but must suffer the consequences!”
“@mcuban has less TV persona than any other person I can think of. He’s an arrogant, crude, dope who met some very stupid people…,”
”Huffington Post is just upset that I said its purchase by AOL has been a disaster and that Arianna Huffington is ugly both inside and out!”.
On top of that, when reporter Megyn Kelly asks him a hard question, he says “there must have been blood coming out of here wherever”. According to Trump the only reason Megyn Kelly asked him questions he couldn’t understand was because she was on her period. He has also called women “fat pigs, dogs, slobs as well as disgusting animals.” How could a presidential candidate say things like this about 50% of the population and continue to be in the lead? Trump has also proven to be racists by saying comments such as “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending the best. They’re not sending you, they’re sending people that have lots of problems and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bring crime. They’re rapists… And some, I assume, are good people.” According to Trump people coming from Mexico to the US looking for a better life are all rapist and murders.
On the opposing side we have Hillary Clinton in the lead. Hillary Clinton has made a habit of lying to the public. An example of this is the email scandal, where she had a different server for her emails rather than using the one she was provided with by the government and was suppose to use. We will now never know what was on those emails. There have also been many instances where she has changed her political views solely for the votes. It can sometimes be hard to tell where she stands because she changes her mind so often. She has lied about her vote in favor of the Iraq War, saying her family was dead broke when they left the White House and of course Benghazi. Clinton also took money from foreign countries that have housed terrorists.
Honestly there are no good candidates in this election. This election no one seems to care too much about the issues but just being petty toward the other candidates from Marco Rubio’s spray tan remarks to every single thing that comes out of Trump’s mouth. What can we do to insure someone deserving is put into office?
