Back again for its 65th year, the “Music’s Biggest Night”, also known as the Grammys has undeniably become one of the top moments of the year so far. Whether it was the show stopping looks on the red carpet, the award show itself or the musical performances, this year’s Grammys was another big hit.
To start off with some of the most recognizable moments from the Grammys this year, we can start with Beyoncé as she now holds the record for the most Grammys’ won in the 65 years of the event. The award became Beyoncé’s 32nd and has become the new record holder for the most Grammys won in the world, surpassing Georg Solti. The record breaking win came off of her newest album Renaissance, released in 2022 and won the Best Dance/Electronic Album of the year.
This year’s performances during the awards didn’t disappoint either. The Grammys opened up with Bad Bunny, who used the stage to pay tribute to his Pureto Rican roots with a “show-stopping opening medley, an effusive ode to the Caribbean”. One of the biggest performances of the night came from a tribute to celebrate 50 years of hip hop music, featuring an all-star roster of some of the most recognizable hip hop artists. The Roots, Grandmaster Flash And The Furious Five, Run-DMC, LL Cool J, Salt-N-Pepa, Ice-T, Queen Latifah, Missy Elliott and so many more were in attendance to celebrate this milestone in hip hop music.
Other notable performances from the night came from Lizzo, Steve Lacy, Harry Styles, Stevie Wonder, DJ Khaled, John Legend, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Sam Smith and Kim Petras, and Brandi Carlile.
